摘要：In this talk, we recall the nature of roots of a real polynomial with degree no more than four, and give the nature of roots of a real polynomial with degree five. We present (simpler) necessary and sufficient conditions for a real polynomial with degree four to be positive, when the variable is positive. At the end, we apply the positivity conditions for quartic polynomials to give a class of new real division algebras.
主講人簡介：Kaiming Zhao （趙開明），現任加拿大Wilfrid Laurier大學教授🧎➡️，河北師範大學兼職教授博導。於1991年獲得中國科EON4數學博士學位；1994年至1999年任中科院數學與系統科EON4副研究員🕰；1999年至2013年任該研究院研究員👨🎤。趙開明教授主要研究興趣為無限維李代數表示理論及非交換代數等科研領域。曾入選中科院早期百人計劃😖。並獲得加拿大勞瑞爾大學研究教授榮譽。在Adv. Math，Trans. AMS👨🏽🎤，Math. Z.🥷🏻， Moscow J. Math.，J. Algebra等雜誌發表高水平學術論文140余篇，被引用1500多次🧑🏻🦽➡️，其研究成果受到國際同行的高度評價。主持多項國家自然科學基金項目及加拿大研究理事會基金項目，是國際代數學領域有重要影響的專家🫲🏼。
